A man who is a suspect in a burglary in North Germany Township in Wadena County is in custody after a search warrant allegedly uncovered stolen guns in his residence.

Wadena County Sheriff Mike Carr said the burglary was reported June 2, when a woman said she came home to discover her house broken into and several items missing, including 10 firearms, a compound bow, gun cases, knives, DVDs, cash and checks, and other items.

Carr said his investigators were led to the residence of Shane Allen Donath, 36, of St. Paul. The sheriff’s office, St. Paul Police Department and St. Paul PD SWAT team executed a search warrant and allegedly discovered four of the 10 firearms and other items from North Germany Township.

Donath is being held on five felony charges in the Wadena County Jail and he has made his first court appearance June 5. His bail was set at $150,000 bond or $15,000 cash with conditions or $250,000 cash or bond without conditions.

Carr said he believes there will be more arrests in the case, and the investigation continues.
